Why get involved?googlepic

When a community bonds together in any group, the power of the human mind is unsurpassable. Together, people of all ages can reach out and accomplish the unthinkable, such as peace on earth. The reason why we suffer the consequences of hate, terrorism, and war is because of a deficiency in the deep understanding and acceptance of the differences in the cultures across the world. Through the hard work of a determined Board of Directors and the support from City Hall and the Cultural Commission, Santa Clara Sister Cities Association pierces through the crust of hate and helps the world advance towards peace, one relationship at a time.

In order to finance these exchange programs and other culturally educational events and opportunities offered to High School students, the Santa Clara Sister Cities Association is fundraising all year long. Events such as the Annual Chicken BBQ, Street Dance, Tea Party, and A&W Festival are just some of the many opportunities for not only students, but the community as well to get involved. SCSCA welcomes long time supporters and newcomers interested in meeting and working with friendly people dedicated to building relationships that extend from the local community to other parts of the world.
