Izumo

Every year we have visiting students from Izumo in January and March, and we send students from Santa Clara to Izumo in June.

Izumo Exchange 2026

In June 2026, we sent 8 high school students to Izumo, Japan. They got to stay with host families, go to city hall, meet the mayor, and more. For more information about the visit, please see here

Izumo Exchange 2025

In June 2025, we sent 6 high school students to Izumo, Japan. They got to experience many different events, such as visiting shrines, a lighthouse, indigo dying, and more.

Izumo Exchange 2024

In June 2024, we sent 6 high school students to Izumo, Japan. They got to do a lot of fun different things on the trip, such as visiting the local mall, animal sanctuary, and go on bus rides around the city.

Izumo Exchange 2023

In June 2023, we sent 4 high school students to Izumo, Japan. Our Youth Cultural Exchange trips to/from Coimbra, Portugal and Limerick, Ireland have yet to resume since the COVID-19 outbreak, but we are hoping to re-establish exchanges in the upcoming months.
